Biometrics Attendance System

This project was the artifact produced for my MSc dissertation. The aim was to find a solution into recording and documenting the attendance of students with increased precision during the initial stages of an academic setting. E.g. A lecture, seminar, group meeting. As traditional methods such as manually marking a students attendance has its disadvantages, the use of facial biometrics was implemented. The system was designed using a raspberry pi that utilised facial recognition algorithmic libraries to accurately record a student being present.
